Columbia County Cultural Coalition (CCCC) has received additional $20,000 grant funds through the Rebuilding and Expansion Grant Program of the Oregon Community Foundation (OCF). The additional funds will be added to the annual allocation from the Oregon Cultural Trust of $15,262. A total of $35,262 will be available for distribution in 2026.
Traditionally, CCCC has offered matching grants of up to $2,000 to art, culture, and history projects within Columbia County. The OCF funds will allow the offer of a few larger grants to more fully fund projects. Application requirements will be announced in Oct. 2025 for the 2026 grant cycle. Grants awarded in the 2025 cycle include the following: C.C. Stern Type Foundry (Clatskanie, letterpress event), Clatskanie Food Hub (Clatskanie, mural), Rainier Historical Museum (Rainier, staff training), Clatskanie Bloom (Clatskanie, welcome sign replacement), United Way (Columbia County, Dolly Parton library), Dia de Los Muertos (St. Helens, community celebration), Friends of Columbia City Library (Columbia City, youth encouragement project), and Columbia County Museum Assoc. (St. Helens, maritime display).
