The person declined transportation to the hospital. 11:17 a.m. A Cathlamet resident filed a complaint that a vehicle in a public parking lot had not moved for three weeks. The sheriff’s department contacted the owner who said that they would try to get it moved. 4:52 p.m. A Grays River resident reported a broken water line that was flowing out onto the highway. The Grays River Fire Department responded. 7:49 p.m. A Cathlamet caller requested assistance after locking their keys in their car. The caller called back to let them know they had found a spare set of keys.
October 28 11:20 a.m. A Skamokawa caller reported the theft of their license plate tabs. 12:20 p.m. A motorist called dispatch to report that a garbage can full of glass had fallen off a vehicle on SR 4 just west of Cathlamet. 2:34 p.m. A motorist reported that a tree fell and broke their windshield east of Cathlamet. 5:03 p.m. A resident of Cathlamet reported a power outage near SR 4 and Maple Ridge Road. The PUD was notified, and power was restored within the hour. 6:05 p.m. Power was reported out on Third Street in Cathlamet. 6:05 p.m. Power was reported out on Greenwood Road in Cathlamet. 8:28 p.m. A hit and run accident was reportedly damaged a parked car at Cathlamet High School. 10:38 p.m. A tree was reported down on SR 4 blocking the Westbound portion of the passing lane west of County Line Park. Sheriff’s deputies and the Washington State Patrol were able to clear the tree.
October 29 1:11 p.m. Emergency services responded to a Puget Island resident with a rapid heartbeat. 9:39 p.m. Lifeflight transported a Cathlamet resident who had a seizure to the hospital.
October 30 5:20 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance assisted an elderly Cathlamet resident who had fallen. The person declined transportation to the hospital. 10:40 a.m. A motorist reported garbage falling out of a vehicle traveling on SR 4. 4:55 p.m. A Cathlamet motorist requested help after locking their keys in their car. 5:45 p.m. A deer was reported to have been struck on SR 4 at Raistakka Road. The Grays River fire department responded.
October 31 11:30 a.m. A Puget Island motorist requested assistance after locking their keys in their car. 4:11 p.m. A vehicle was reported to have run off the road in the Elochoman Valley. The sheriff’s department and the Cathlamet Fire Department responded. 4:40 p.m. A tree was reported down on Altoona Pillar Rock Road at Mill Road. The Wahkiakum County road crew was advised. 6:18 p.m. A Cathlamet caller reported the lithium battery in a scooter was on fire outside their house. The Cathlamet Fire Department responded. 7:11 p.m. A Caller west of Cathlamet reported finding a deer that was hit by a vehicle and wanted to salvage it. Dispatch advised that is can be salvaged as long as it is not a white tail deer and that they must fill out a salvage license with the Washington Department of Wildlife within 24 hours.
November 1 10:13 a.m. A motorist reported rocks in the road from Nassa Point to County Line Park. Sheriff’s deputies cleared rocks from milepost 39 to milepost 41. 1:12 p.m. Fire crews from Puget Island, Cathlamet, and Skamokawa responded to a brush fire in Skamokawa. 1:17 Sheriff’s deputies cleared a tree which had fallen on SR 4 at County Line Park. 2:09 p.m. A traffic sign was reported down on Puget Island. The Washington State Patrol was notified. 10:10 p.m. An out-of-county operator transferred a 911 call. The caller was worried that they had left a pressure cooker on. The call was dropped but after reconnecting, the caller told dispatch that they had gotten someone to go to the house and check to see if the appliance was on. 10:50 p.m. A purse found at a local business was brought to the sheriff’s office. Using the ID from the purse deputies contacted the owner who came to pick up the purse.
November 2 9:14 a.m. The Cathlamet fire department responded to an elderly person who needed assistance after a fall. 1:30 p.m. The Skamokawa fire department responded to an elderly person who had fallen. The person was transported to the hospital. November 2 6:34 p.m. A motorist on SR 4 at Nelson Creek Road reported hitting a deer. 7:21 p.m. A caller reported a vehicle speeding and unable to stay in their lane west of Cathlamet.
