Oregon’s Rainier High School football team started off the season stronger compared to last year, winning 28-14 against Riverside. As the weeks passed, Rainier began to struggle. The team came back to fight against Corbett and won. Not only did they win, but they broke a record. Now Rainier and Corbett hold the high school record for most points scored in a game in 2A, 9 man football. This record was the best one Rainier has set within the last three years. The team was extremely proud of their accomplishment and growth between the games. One highlighted player in this game was Gage Mahommed, who rushed for 448 yards and scored nine touchdowns. The team is grateful for their coaches who led them through the wins and losses. The Columbians did great this year and can't wait to do better next season!
