November 23 4:46 p.m. A Cathlamet resident called to request medical assistance for her boyfriend who had been choking but was now just coughing. The patient was transported to the hospital by Cowlitz Emergency Medical Services. 4:51 p.m. A driver struck a building in Skamokawa and was transported to the hospital. 4:55 p.m. The Grays River Ambulance transported an elderly Rosburg resident to the hospital for chest pain. 7:19 p.m. A Puget Island resident called to complain that dogs were barking on E Little Island. 8:01 p.m. A Naselle resident called to report low water pressure; the PUD was advised. 8:05 p.m. Sheriff’s deputies arrested one individual on Puget Island for suspected assault.
November 24 2:22 p.m. A Little Island resident called to report that two hunting dogs she didn’t recognize turned up on the property. Deputies responded and notified the owners of the animals, who would pick them up. 4:43 p.m. A driver went off the road and rolled their vehicle on its side on SR 4 near Maple Ridge Road. No injuries were reported.
November 25 8:07 a.m. A Cathlamet resident was concerned for the welfare of the dog in a neighboring house, stating the dog had been left inside alone for several days. Deputies contacted the homeowner, who said that they had just been home that morning and their dog was fine. 11:33 a.m. A Skamokawa Post Office worker was concerned that someone was sleeping in the lobby of the post office at night after finding cigarettes and a cell phone charger. 11:43 a.m. A Skamokawa Post Office worker reported that someone stole keys from the post office and is believed to be staying in an RV nearby. 12:45 p.m. A Cathlamet resident was transported to the hospital for a severe headache. 3:57 p.m. A Puget Island resident called to report that two dogs were tied up in the rain on a neighboring property.
November 26 8:16 a.m. A concerned citizen reported seeing a backpack near the Puget Island bridge but saw no one else around and found that suspicious. Deputies arrived and searched the area but found no backpack. 8:39 a.m. A driver on Elochoman Valley Road reported a large tree was partially blocking the southbound roadway near Foster Road. 11:26 a.m. A Puget Island resident found two dogs playing in the river. Deputies identified them as the same dogs from a previous call and again called the owner, informing them of the nuisance-dog ordinance.
November 27 9:59 p.m. A Little Island resident called to complain that their neighbor’s dogs had been barking since 8pm.
November 28 3:56 p.m. A driver on E SR4 called to report an erratic driver who pulled out in front of them, and it seemed they were trying to cause an accident. 8:14 p.m. Deputies responded to investigate after a mailbox was struck by an unknown vehicle.
November 29 3:16 p.m. A Rosburg resident called to report that someone had illegally dumped garbage on Miller Point Road. 5:06 p.m. An unknown vehicle was towed for being parked unlawfully in USPS-restricted parking. 5:35 p.m. A Puget Island resident was transported to the hospital for breathing difficulties. 7:45 p.m. Deputies found a loose dog wandering by itself in Grays River and were able to locate the owner and bring it home.
