The FFA (Future Farmers of America) chapter has a busy and exciting month ahead, with events open to both current members and students interested in learning more about agriculture. The chapter will host a high-school lunchtime meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 24. The meeting is open to all high-school students who want to learn about agriculture or simply enjoy fun games with the FFA officer team. FFA Week will run from Monday, Feb. 23, through Friday, Feb. 27, giving students the chance to show their FFA and agriculture spirit throughout the week. Stay tuned for information regarding our FFA Succulent Sale and our FFA Merch Sale. For current agriculture students planning to attend the State FFA Convention, there will be a mandatory parent meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. in the Ag Room. Attendance is required for convention eligibility. Students should also be aware that there is a $50 registration fee, and an official convention application must be completed by Thursday, March 5, to be considered for attendance
Rainier FFA is proud to announce that Makayla McCann and Kamaya VanLanker will be receiving their Oregon FFA State Degrees this March at the Oregon State FFA Convention. This honor represents the highest level of achievement a member can attain at the state level and recognizes years of dedication, leadership, and growth within the FFA organization. The State Degree is awarded to members who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE), contributed significant hours of community service, shown strong leadership in their chapter, and upheld the values of the FFA. Only a small percentage of members across the state reach this milestone each year. Both Makayla and Kamaya will walk across the stage at the State Convention this March to receive their degrees. It will be a moment that represents years of effort, learning, and leadership. Rainier FFA is excited to celebrate their accomplishments and cheer them on as they reach this major milestone.
