Sheriff's Report

March 2 9:54 a.m. A Cathlamet resident called to report that their neighbor had taken down a fence belonging to them without permission. 1:20 p.m. Deputies performed a welfare check for a Cathlamet resident whose friend had not heard from them in a while and were able to make contact. 3:01 p.m. An Elochoman Valley resident called to report that a dog killed their neighbor's lamb. Deputies responded and discovered that the dog was owned by the same person as the lamb that was killed. 7:26 p.m. A Cathlamet resident called to report an unknown individual standing in the middle of their field, wearing a blanket. Deputies issued a trespass warning to the individual. 7:55 p.m. A driver on SR4 reported an erratic driver who seemed to be under the influence was weaving in and out of lanes, and deputies witnessed the vehicle cross the centerline more than once. The driver was issued a warning for lane travel.

March 3 1:53 a.m. A Skamokawa resident called to report that people had been stealing metal from an abandoned house on E Valley Road, and aluminum could be heard being dragged down the sidewalk. 11:09 a.m. A family was seen riding a side-by-side and was reported to be trespassing on timber property. 2:10 p.m. Deputies received a report that a resident's identity was stolen, someone attempted to sell their property in another county, and the resident wanted to contact local law enforcement in case it happened here. 2:16 p.m. A caller reported that they had forgotten their backpack full of fishing gear at the Julia Butler Hansen House. 4:35 p.m. A Cathlamet resident called to complain that County Road crews cut their tree. 8:38 p.m. A resident of Puget Island called for an ambulance due to severe back pain.

March 4 9:17 a.m. A Cathlamet resident called to report vandalism on their garbage can and wanted to press charges. 2:02 p.m. A caller on Puget Island reported several pigs loose on Little Island Road. 3:30 p.m. A Cathlamet resident called to report that a former client sent veiled threats via text message and wanted it documented. 6:10 p.m. The Cathlamet Ambulance responded to assist an elderly Cathlamet resident.

March 5 8:06 a.m. A Rosburg resident was transported to the hospital after falling and being stranded on the floor for a couple of days. 10:47 a.m. A Vehicle unlock was performed for a Cathlamet resident. 12:08 p.m. A Cathlamet resident was transported to the hospital for a nosebleed. 1:42 p.m. The Cathlamet Emergency Services transported an elderly Cathlamet resident to the hospital for confusion. 7 p.m. A concerned citizen called to report another driver they believed to be intoxicated after watching the person stumble in the parking lot, mumble to themselves, and fail to put their key in the door lock properly. Deputies identified the individual and found no signs of impairment.

March 7 4:03 a.m. A tree was down, blocking both lanes on SR4 near Wallen Way. 9:43 a.m. An Elochoman Valley resident called to report that their neighbor's dog was loose and shouldn't be. 10:31 a.m. A Puget Island resident called to report that there was a deer hung up in a fence on Ostervold Road. 5:45 p.m. A driver on SR4 called to report that they hit a deer near County Line park but continued driving and is unsure if it is still in the road.
