United Way announces $180,000 in unrestricted grants

United Way of Columbia County is proud to announce an exciting new chapter in its mission to strengthen local communities through a regional merger with United Way organizations in Clatsop and Tillamook counties. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in expanding impact, increasing efficiency, and better serving individuals and families across the three-county region.

As part of this transition, United Way will distribute $180,000 in unrestricted grants to 19 local nonprofit social service agencies in 2026. These flexible funds allow partner organizations to meet the most pressing needs in their communities. These investments directly support critical services, including youth attending summer camps and enrichment programs, families accessing food boxes and essential nutrition support, individuals maintaining safe and stable housing, and early learners gaining access to high-quality opportunities.

“This regional approach allows us to deepen our impact while maintaining strong local connections,” said Board Chair Natasha Parvey. “We are proud to continue investing in the organizations that are on the front lines of supporting our communities every day.”

These grants are made possible through the generosity of local donors who believe in the power of community-driven solutions. As needs continue to grow, United Way encourages community members to contribute and be part of this shared impact. To donate, you can send a check to PO Box 538, Rainier, OR 97048, or give online at unitedwayofcolumbiacounty.com. Together, we are building stronger, healthier communities across Columbia, Clatsop, and Tillamook counties.
