March 23 6:09 a.m. A Skamokawa resident called to report that they heard what they believe were animals being drowned in the creek nearby the day before. The caller said they did not see it happen, but they heard animals whimpering and drowning, and that they had been informed on Facebook that the people responsible were out with coyote calls because cows were due to calve. 8:37 a.m. An anonymous tip came in about a suspicious garbage can chained to the guardrail, and someone in a vehicle with a garbage bag was there, acting suspiciously, before they allegedly sped off when the caller drove by. 11:35 a.m. A vehicle with a flat tire was reported on the side of SR4.
March 24 11:19 p.m. The Grays River Ambulance responded to assist an elderly Rosburg resident who had fallen. 2:47 p.m. A driver on Oneida Road in Naselle reported a large tree blocking both lanes. 5:25 p.m. A vehicle on SR 4 reported a vehicle near Maple Ridge Road with emergency lights on, and the driver was standing on the side of the road, allegedly staring at a telephone pole. 5:43 p.m. Deputies transported an injured hawk after it was found in Elochoman Valley to be cared for by Peninsula Wildcare.
March 25 12:11 a.m. A caller requested a welfare check on a friend they could not get a hold of and had not heard from after they were supposed to check in. Deputies made contact with the resident, who was ok. 7:31 a.m. The Cathlamet Ambulance responded to provide a lift assist for an elderly Puget Island resident who had fallen. 2:39 p.m. An Elochoman Valley resident reported fraudulent charges on their bank and Apple accounts. 6:18 p.m. Dispatch received a 911 call, and the caller said it was accidental; their dog had dialed 911.
March 26 12:01 p.m. A caller reported several sheep wandering around on W Birnie Slough Road. The owner arrived and collected their animals. 1:47 p.m. A Cathlamet resident was transported to the hospital for high blood pressure and not feeling well. 5:21 p.m. Deputies performed a vehicle unlock for a Puget Island resident.
March 27 8:35 a.m. The Grays River Ambulance transported an elderly Rosburg resident to the hospital for weakness and immobility. 2:13 p.m. A Puget Island resident called to report that someone was trespassing on their property. 2:47 p.m. The Cathlamet Emergency Services responded to a motorcycle accident and transported the motorcyclist to the hospital. 3:05 p.m. A Naselle resident called to report a scam call they received regarding an unpaid traffic violation. 3:17 p.m. Someone called to complain that their dog was attacked and injured by another dog on March 21 at a Cathlamet business. 9:24 p.m. The Cathlamet Ambulance transported an elderly Puget Island resident to the hospital for bleeding.
March 28 8:24 a.m. The Cathlamet Emergency Services responded to assist an elderly Puget Island resident who had fallen down. 11:47 a.m. A welfare check was requested after the caller reported they had not heard from their elderly parent since the day prior. Deputies made contact with the resident, who was ok. 4:41 p.m. A Cathlamet resident was transported to the hospital for heart troubles. 7:05 p.m. A Rosburg resident reported finding two loose dogs and was unable to get in contact with WAAG. The resident called back and said they had found the owner through Facebook. 10:36 p.m. Reports came in of the ferry alarm going off, but deputies could not contact anyone at the ferry. The ferry captain was contacted, and she advised that the horn was stuck on. 10:46 p.m. The Coast Guard was towing a stranded boat into the Elochoman Marina. 6:19 p.m. The Cathlamet Emergency Services responded to assist a Cathlamet resident with a hand laceration.
