The weather was very wet and rainy last Saturday, but that did not stop Boy Scout Troop #883 from meeting at the fairgrounds to start an Eagle Scout project. Scout Ben Vasion needed to complete a project and asked me for project ideas a few weeks ago. I didn't know him when he was appointed to a vacancy in the state Senate, but I soon came to appreciate him.
