Two representatives from the National Park Service met with several community members last Friday to present some park design drawings that were created after the all day planning workshop in November and to listen to feedback. The park is planned for the three acres along the waterfront which once held the sewer lagoons. The Wahkiakum Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Crab & Oyster Feed at the Norse Hall on February 18. This will be the 32nd year for this event. The Crab & Oyster Feed is a fundraising event for the Chamber. It wasn't long after Kelly Patterson found her new home in Cathlamet that she found her new home away from home, the Wahkiakum Community Center. Patterson is the new coordinator. Terry Irving, 75, of Royal Oaks, Calif., died on November 29, 2016. Terry was born in Portland, Ore., on January 21, 1941 to Roy and Esther Irving and raised on the family farm in Cathlamet. He graduated from Wahkiakum High School in 1959 and received a degree in Electronics from LCC in 1961. Terry enlisted in the Army in 1962 and spent three years and eight months as a radar technician.
