    The Tsuga Gallery, 70 Main St., in Cathlamet will celebrate its third anniversary on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. Music will be provided by Fred Carter on the guitar. This will be a kick off event for the Bald Eagle Days Festival. On Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. they will host Kidzartworks, free, for ages four and up. Participants will explore art, mosaics, creative driftwood, mixed media and more.     Lifelong local resident Susan Laree Cothren, 55, of Kelso, died July 10, 2014, at the Hospice Care Center in Longview. She was born March 14, 1959, in Longview, and graduated from Wahkiakum High School in 1977. Susie was a local waitress and bartender for many years. She loved gardening, garage sales, antiques, horses and her favorite companion, her chihuahua “Bruce Wayne.” Susie married Anthony Steven “Tony” Setera III in Longview in 1975. They had a child together and later divorced. In 1983 she married Melbourne “Mel” Barnes in Cathlamet....

Sheriff Mark Howie said Wednesday morning that Rosedale residents Dan and Genie Cary noticed the sails on the sailboat suddenly fell to the deck and that a man was in the water.     The 2014 Bald Eagle Fun Run on July 19 will benefit a record board for the Wahkiakum High School track and field program. The son of Allen Candler Edmondson and Josie Williams Edmondson, he was born December 21, 1927, in Pearl River, Louisiana. He helped operate the family store and farm in Slidell, La. He served in the Army in WWII and was stationed in Adak, Alaska. After the war, he used the GI Bill to graduate with a degree in journalism from Louisiana State University.
