WILD ONE--Depending on where you were this past week, you may have had some really crazy weather, which included lots of wind, rain, hail or if you were headed over an area of higher elevation, even some snow! While we had a slight blip in our power and several bumps, we didn't have a major outage here, but I know lots of other areas certainly did. Naselle Lutheran Church will host its annual Salad Luncheon on Saturday, April 29 from 10 a.m., until 1 p.m. A variety of salads will be offered for a suggested donation of $7.00. The Lutheran bakers plan to provide an array of baked goods, including some with Finnish origin for purchase. OFF AND ON--Last Friday was a gorgeous day and some folks were even enjoying a nice Saturday right from the start, but for those of us here in Skamokawa, it began as a cool, drippy, cloudy and well, not all that great of a beginning. Luckily, by late afternoon, the clouds parted and the sun peeked out, so that was enjoyable while it lasted, as the rains returned once again that evening. Vacations are wonderful, but it is always incredibly good to be home. So sorry that I didn’t bring warmer and drier weather back with me, but I must say I took much nicer weather down to southern California with me.
