Wahkiakum County commissioners breezed through business Tuesday in what was the last meeting of the year for the board and the last meeting as a member of the board for Mike Backman. Wahkiakum County Health and Human Services (WHHS) announced Monday morning that it has received positive test result notifications for four additional COVID-19 cases in Wahkiakum County residents. Wahkiakum County commissioners on Tuesday approved budgets for 2021 and, by 2-1 votes, raised county levy rates by 1 percent. County budgets, ranging from the General Fund to the Road Department total $26.19 million. The county's three levies total $1.71 million. The General Fund levy will be $878, 390.54.
