All hunters born after January 1, 1972 must complete the hunter education course to be held in Cathlamet, to qualify for a hunting license. Lower Columbia College (LCC) and the Lower Columbia College Foundation have announced the selection of Mr. Lou Mace as the 2018 LCC Alumni of the Year. Mace graduated from R.A. Long High School in 1953 and attended LCC from 1954 to 1955. While at LCC, Lou was a Track and Field star in pole vaulting. In 1954, he placed second at the WAACC championships at 12-3. SURPRISE--As this past weekend began, we had a bit of a surprise, as we woke up to wetness on Saturday morning and had some off and on misty times throughout the morning. Home again and loving it. This trip added nearly 7,000 miles to my car’s odometer, and I have gained a new housemate. My brother Dave is here to stay, and my sister and I are very happy to have him. Effective 12:01 a.m., Sunday, July 15, officials from Wahkiakum County are enacting a ban on all outdoor burning.
