The winter dance at the Norse Hall on Puget Island and sponsored by the Wahkiakum Chamber of Commerce will take place this Saturday, 6:30 - 11:30 p.m.
The Rhetta Christie Trio will supply the music, and a home cooked meal, provided by a local sorority is included. There will be activities for children downstairs, including a movie.
The dance is being held to raise money for the Trolley next summer.
"We chose a dance as a fundraiser because so many people in the community have expressed how they miss the old dances. We thought it would be a great time and a neat way for people to meet their neighbors in this busy world. Families rarely have an opportunity to do something together," said Jennifer Johnson, Executive director of the Chamber of Commerce.
Tickets are available at the Bank of the Pacific, Trillium Books, the Rosburg store and the Wahkiakum Chamber of Commerce. The price is $15, or $18 at the door, $5 for children or $40 for two adults and two children.
"Even if you don't dance, come and listen to the music. Everyone is invited and it should be a really great time!" Johnson added.
