The 9th Annual Royal Chocolate Extravaganza will kick off a busy Friday evening.
Also that evening are the regular season final home game for the Wahkiakum Mules basketball team, approximately 7 p.m., and at 7:30 p.m., the concert by Willapa Hills to raise funds for the Friends of Skamokawa Foundation.
The Extravaganza features varied chocolate recipes, a taste competition, with admission proceeds benefitting the Charlotte House Domestic Violence Center. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will match funds.
Charlotte House spokesperson Susan Schillios said there are 18 entries competing for the title of “Most Decadent Dessert.” Entries include Delight Bites, Chocolate Peppermint Cheesecake, and Peanut Butter Cheesecake Bites.
To-go boxes will also be for sale for $8. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children.
“If you’re planning on attending the concert or watching the Mules beat Morton, visit us first for some much needed chocolate,” Schillios said. “We appreciate the support this community has shown in the past and look forward to seeing you there.”
Tickets are available at the Secret Garden, the Golden Ladder, Bank of the Pacific, and St. James Family Center.
