Clinic plays host to fourth art exhibit

Local artists are sharing their talents for the fourth exhibit at the Wahkiakum Family Practice Clinic in Cathlamet. Submissions from Thea Pyle and Noreen Fitts, both of Grays River, reflect the coming of spring, while Skamokawa, the Columbia and the coast provide inspiration for Mitzi Christensen, Mary Lynch, Annette Bailey and Ellen Andersen. Also on display are works by David Goodroe, Judy Curtis and Janet Cimino. More than half the pieces will be offered for sale at the end of the exhibition in late June.

The featured artist of this series is Mary Lynch who returned to her roots in the Pacific Northwest after a 40 year teaching career in California. She hosts a weekly art group in her home and has a firm conviction that "all art should tell a story." Her paintings include depictions of the Elochoman Slough Marina, Puget Island and the Grays River.

The exhibition can be seen in the clinic's waiting and exam rooms until the end of June.
