"Solving the Mystery" set in Skamokawa

A fun afternoon for all ages is in store at the Redmen Hall in Skamokawa on April 15.

Grays River author Gwen Angstrom will give a 35-minute presentation which will engage listeners in helping to solve the mystery posed in her new book, The Eemlets and Grandma Eema Stories, Book 1: From Rainbow to Sunshine.

Long ago, the story goes, Grandma Eema found some letters deep in the woods in an old well that were written in code. When she shows one of the letters years later to her grandchildren, the Eemlets, the can't wait to try to unravel the mystery. Grandpa and Grandma Eema take the children to Happy Valley meeting memorable characters and following a trail of clues leading to buried treasure and "Sunshine."

Angstrom's program will begin around 1 p.m.; afterwards she will stay until 3 p.m. to sign copies of this book, the first in a series, and her previous work Ruthie's Extraordinary Summer.

The Friends of Skamokawa will host the event and will provide refreshments. Parking and handicap access are located up the hill; additional parking can be found along SR 4.
