The Washington State Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in the case of Hans York et al versus the Wahkiakum School District on the afternoon of May 8.
The plaintiffs have appealed a Wahkiakum Superior Court decision made last year that upheld the school district’s random drug testing program for students turning out for high school sports.
The plaintiffs sued the district to halt the testing program, arguing that it infringed on students’ rights of privacy.
