Applications for the Cispus experience for the entire eighth grade class for May 13– 15 went home to parents on March 29.
The Youth Mobilization Campaign (YMC) is funded by a Wahkiakum Community Network Drug Free Communities grant and Washington Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse.

The school district and Wahkiakum County Health and Human Services collaborated to offer this prevention/leadership program to all eighth grade students.
Ten students from the freshmen class have been meeting to plan this activity with adult mentors assisting the process.
Applications will be due April 13 to Lisa Frink's classroom planning can continue for the event.
An EMT is especially needed while the children are at the camp, and parents of the eighth graders are needed to volunteer as chaperones. A parent meeting will be scheduled in April to answer questions about the YMC.
