What's Happening at the Fair?

February 26, 2008

With spring around the corner there’s never been a better time to clear out those closets. Whether it’s that lamp you never found a home for or those forgotten garage boxes, WSU, 4-H and the fair are looking for donations for the community auction scheduled for March 28.

Donations can be dropped off at the fairgrounds or you can arrange for your items to be picked up by fair staff. This is a community event and everyone is invited. The purpose is to raise funds for the fair, 4-H and WSU. If you have any items you would like to donate please contact the fair office at 795-3480.

Calling all fair princesses! Our princess program will soon be kicking off so if you live in the Wahkiakum area, including Naselle, attend public or are home schooled and are 14 or older, what are you waiting for? Sign up today!

The clean up team has been continuing their work on the fairgrounds and is pleased the debris removal of the commercial building has now been completed. There is still a lot of work to be done but the team and I am confident we will be back on track for this year’s fairground events.
