Commission candidates to appear at Aug 6 forum

Wahkiakum County residents are invited to attend a public forum for the candidates running for the office of county commissioner on August 6 at 7 p.m. in the River Street Building.
The candidates will have an opportunity to speak briefly about themselves and why they feel they are the best candidate for their position. This will be followed by questions from a moderator.
Ample time will be allowed for questions from the public.
County Auditor Diane Tischer will also be available to explain and answer questions regarding the new top two balloting procedures.
The event is being co-sponsored by Grays River Grange and the Wahkiakum Food and Farm Network. Refreshments will be served.
