CALL FOR SEALED BIDS

SALE OF SURPLUS FIRE TRUCK

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that WAHKIAKUM FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. TWO will accept bids for the sale of one 1970 Ford 600 pumper truck, until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2010, at which time said bids shall be publicly opened and read at the District's fire station.

Said fire truck was previously declared surplus to the District's needs by Resolution of the District's Board of Fire Commissioners, adopted on June 24, 2010.

The terms of the sale are as follows:

The minimum acceptable bid has been fixed at $750.00.

The truck is sold, AS IS, with no warranties, express or implied.

The successful bidder will deliver full payment in cash or cashier's check to the District's Secretary, Sheran Parker, within five (5) calendar days of notification of acceptance of the bid. The successful bidder shall remove the fire truck from the District's premises within three (3) calendar days of the District's acceptance of payment.

Bids may be mailed to the District at P.O. Box 233, Skamokawa, WA 98647 in a sealed envelope clearly marked "PUMPER TRUCK BID." For further information or to arrange a time to inspect said surplus fire truck contact Fire Chief Duncan Cruickshank at (360) 795-6041.

The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in the bidding.
