Sheriff's Report - August 12, 2010

 

August 12, 2010



Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:

August 2--1:39 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Cathlamet man with breathing trouble. 1:02 p.m. A caller reported illegal drug activity occurring in the Elochoman Valley. 1:20 p.m. A Rosedale resident reported someone had stolen prescription medications. 5:28 p.m. Morgan Drive resident reported someone had stolen computer game materials.

August 3--1:10 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Rosedale woman with tingling in her arms and legs. 8:03 a.m. A motorist reported someone had parked old cars dangerously close to the edge of Altoona-Pillar Rock Road. 12:16 p.m. An East Birnie Slough Road resident said someone's cattle had knocked down a fence and invaded his property; the owner of the animals was contacted. 3:53 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Skamokawa resident injured in a fall. 4:27 p.m. A caller reported someone was neglecting care for a horse at a Westend residence. 4:28 p.m. A caller reported someone had spray painted property on Beaver Creek Road. 5:24 p.m. A Middle Valley resident reported a man and woman were having a dispute over child custody and one had blocked the other in a driveway; an officer made contact.

August 4--9:21 a.m. Health and Human Services asked for an officer's assistance in getting a person to leave a shelter. 11:21 p.m. An East Valley resident reported a burglary.

August 5--7:11 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a man who had fallen at a Rosedale residence. 7:50 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid man at a Rosedale residence.

August 6--1:35 p.m. A motorist reported that people were using West Little Island Road as a work and were blocking traffic. 3:48 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Cathlamet teenager with abdominal pain. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid an Island View Lane resident having an allergic reaction.

August 7--1:27 a.m. A caller reported someone had stolen gasoline from a vehicle in the Skamokawa area. 10:26 a.m. Wahkiakum PUD was called to the Warren Cannery, which had partially collapsed in the night, to disconnect electricity; Cathlamet firemen were later dispatched to place a floating boom around the building. 11:02 a.m. Puget Island firemen responded to an Welcome Slough Road residence where a controlled burn had gotten into power lines.

August 8--2:39 a.m. A woman camping at the Elochoman Slough Marina reported being harassed and asked that officers watch the area
