The Wahkiakum County Eagle - Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891

Former local resident, Lillian LaBeck, 89, died September 24, 2010 at Salem Hospital in Salem, Ore. She was born March 21, 1921 in Astoria, Ore. to Jens and Martha (Vee) Hanson. She graduated from Knappa High School in 1940. She married Darryl LaBeck, he preceded her in death in 1979.

Locally she is survived by her sister, Elsie Peterson of Cathlamet. She is also survived by her children, Daniel LaBeck and Laura Easley; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Darryl in 1986.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery on October 3, at 3 p.m.
