The Wahkiakum Fair Foundation had to cancel their Chicken and Dumpling dinner on Sunday, April 10 due to a family emergency of "chef" Janet Bryan.

Bryan's brother Gordy Souvenir was injured and in the ICU at a local hospital on Sunday, leaving the Foundation without her to prepare her fantastic chicken and dumplings. Foundation members felt it was best to cancel the dinner rather than struggle through without her. The Foundation plans to reschedule the dinner as soon as feasible.

Reports are that Souvenir is out of the hospital at this time. The Foundation wishes him well during his recovery.
