Puget Island resident, Christopher Wade Chevalier, 34, passed away October 16, 2011. He was born January 27, 1977 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Fred Chevalier and Loretta (Prestegard) Chevalier. He grew up in Cathlamet and graduated from Wahkiakum High School in 1995. Ten years ago he married Stephanie Lawson; they moved back to Cathlamet from Ophiem, Ill. three years ago; she survives him at home.

Chris was a member of IBEW Local 145 Electrician Union through Fibre; where he worked as an electrician. He loved his family and was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed golfing and fishing.

In addition to his wife, Stephanie; he is survived by his children, Tyler, Joel and Leah Chevalier, all at home; his nephew, who he raised like a son, Justin Watson of Ophiem, Ill .; a sister, Monique Plank of Fort Worth, Tex. and his parents, Fred Chevalier of Big Lake, Minn. and Loretta Chevalier of Puget Island.

A Funeral Service will be held at Heritage Bible Church at 3 p.m. Friday. Private interment will take place at Swedona Lutheran Cemetery in Swedona, Ill.
