The Wahkiakum Mule volleyball team lost a 3-1 match to South Bend on Wednesday in the SW Class 2B Volleyball Tournament.

The Mules play the Pe Ell Trojans on Friday, 5:30 p.m. in Raymond, with the winner earning a berth in the state tournament.

The Mules won the opening set against 26-24 but lost the next three 23-25, 12-25, 24-26.

South Bend advances to play the Adna Pirates in the championship game. Adna swept NW Christian 3-0.

NWC will play Morton/White Pass Friday, 5:30 p.m., in South Bend. The winner of this match will go to state and will play at 7 p.m. with the winner of the Mule-Trojan match to determine third and fourth places.
