Sheriff's Report - January 19, 2012

 

January 19, 2012



Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:

January 9--12:43 p.m. Deputies and the Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid an East Valley Road resident who had taken an overdose. 4:50 p.m. A Middle Valley Road resident reported a violation of a no contact order. 10:05 p.m. Deputies responded to an Una Avenue residence to a domestic violence incident. One person was taken into custody.

January 10--8:45 a.m. and 11:21 a.m. Deputies returned to the Una Avenue address after threats were reportedly made. 8:56 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid an Una Avenue resident with chest pain. 12:34 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to the courthouse to transport a 31-year-old mental health patient to hospital. 3:22 p.m. The Cathlamet Fire Department responded to a Morgan Drive residence to put out a fire in a fuse box. 4:53 p.m. A Jacobson Road resident reported a burglary; a deputy investigated. 10:41 p.m. A Glengate Street resident reported a disturbance involving an intoxicated person. 9:48 p.m. A 3rd Street resident requested a drive by because he believed his windows were being sprayed with a poison in an attempt to kill him.

January 11--3:47 a.m. The 3rd Street resident reported a person knocking on his windows to wake him up. 12:07 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to the Cathlamet Fire Hall to aid a 14 year old girl who had fallen and hit her head on cement. 12:38 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a Main Street address to aid a man with a possible alcohol overdose. 12:38 p.m. A caller reported a red Toyota headed west had crossed the center line multiple times. The state patrol was notified. 2:52 p.m. A caller reported a car accident was blocking traffic on Puget Island. 7:50 p.m. A Glengate Road resident reported the theft of a camera. A deputy responded.

January 12--1:12 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Jacobson Road resident having a possible stroke. 1:51 p.m. A caller reported a disturbance in the parking lot of the courthouse. No one was around when a deputy arrived. 4:21 p.m. A Sunny Sands Road resident reported a possible case of child abuse. 5:59 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to help with a mental health case of a 16 year old who had barricaded himself in his bedroom.

January 13--12:34 a.m. A deputy responded to aid Cowlitz County officers with finding a woman in a gold Honda who was threatening suicide. The vehicle was eventually located. 1:37 p.m. An Ostervold Road resident reported an attempted phone scam involving someone posing as his grandson claiming to be in jail and in need of bail money. 4:29 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Jacobson Road resident with a severe headache. 10:12 p.m. A caller reported loose cattle on Steamboat Slough Road.

January 14--9:52 p.m. Deputies, the Cathlamet ambulance and Skamokawa Fire Department responded to a single vehicle accident on SR 4 and Ingalls Road. State Patrol was notified and a person was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

January 15--8:15 a.m. A caller reported a truck had driven into a ditch on SR 4.
