The National Weather Services (NWS) has predicted wet, windy weather for Friday night and Saturday.
Here's the Friday afternoon forecast:
Tonight: Rain. Low around 39. Breezy, with a south southwest wind between 23 and 25 mph, with gusts as high as 43 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Saturday: Rain. High near 44. Windy, with a southwest wind 29 to 32 mph decreasing to between 13 and 16 mph. Winds could gust as high as 48 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Saturday Night: Rain. Low around 36. West southwest wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
The Naselle and Grays rivers are expected to rise, with the peaks coming Saturday morning, but not at flood stage.
A flood watch remains in effect through Saturday morning for portions of Southwest Washington and Northwest Oregon. Heavy rain this week has saturated the ground in many areas and rivers are running high. An additional one to one and one and a half inches of rain are possible along the coast and coast range.
The NWS has issued a high wind warning which is in effect until 4:00 a.m. Saturday morning. South winds to 45 mph with gusts of 65 to 75 mph are expected along beaches and headlands. Coastal communities can expect south winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts to around 60 mph.
