Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:

April 16--9:49 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to an Elochoman Valley Road residence to aid a 93-year-old woman who was having chest pain. 1:12 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a Cathlamet business to aid an elderly man who had fallen. 10:10 p.m. A Michael Street resident reported receiving threatening text messages.

April 18--6:18 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to an East Valley Road residence to aid a man who had been drinking and was unresponsive. All units were ordered to stand down after the subject called and reported that he had just been sleeping. 3:14 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to the Family Practice Clinic to aid a 25-year-old pregnant woman with low blood pressure. 5:43 p.m. Deputies, the Cathlamet ambulance and the fire department, responded to transport a 19-year-old Columbia Street resident for a mental health evaluation.

April 19--2:42 a.m. Deputies responded to an Elochoman Valley Road residence after a caller reported that his soon-to-be ex-wife was drunk and causing a disturbance. The caller was concerned that she would blow into the anti-drink driving device on his truck to make it appear as though he had been drinking. Deputies separated the parties and handed out victim's rights. 8:54 a.m. A caller reported a car had hit a deer on SR 4. Deputies, District #4 firefighters and the Cathlamet ambulance responded. 11:25 p.m. An Island View Lane resident reported that her neighbor had seen someone in her driveway. A deputy made contact and was unable to locate anyone in the area.

April 20--11:30 a.m. Longview Police Department relayed a report of child sexual abuse in Wahkiakum County. 2:26 p.m. An East Valley Road resident reported that a man in a white Ford F150 had allegedly stolen scrap metal from his property. A deputy responded but was unable to locate the vehicle. 2:31 p.m. A caller reported that a juvenile party had been scheduled at a house on Greenwood Road. 4:24 p.m. A caller reported that her mother had accidentally been locked in The Lions Club's recycling hut on SR 4. She managed to break out without any injuries but the door was damaged and no longer secure. 4:45 p.m. The Grays River ambulance responded to a medical alarm at a Salmon Creek Road residence to aid a 94-year-old female with an unknown problem. 11:50 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a Vaughn Road residence to aid a person with discomfort in their jaw.

April 21--8:30 a.m. An Ostervold Road resident reported that a black, medium sized mixed breed dog had killed her cat the previous night. 9:35 a.m. The Grays River ambulance responded to a West Deep River Road residence to aid a 78-year-old female who was sick. 1:50 p.m. Deputies and the Grays River ambulance responded to a motorcycle accident at Swenson's Corner. 10:51 p.m. A River Street resident reported that someone had broken the window on her father's truck.

April 22--8:55 a.m. A caller reported that someone had torn up the new baseball field behind the high school. A deputy responded but was unable to get any usable tracks. 12:05 p.m. A caller reported that someone had taken the batteries from a tractor and an SUV that were parked in a barn on West Deep River Road. 10:01 p.m. A caller reported that a boat was stuck on a rock in the Cathlamet Channel. Another vessel responded to their broadcast for assistance and towed the stricken boat to the Elochoman Marina.
