Writer says justice system is flawed

To The Eagle:

This letter to-the editor contains only the opening paragraphs of my letter to Sheriff Dearmore regarding juror notification. A complete copy of my letter can be obtained by contacting me at canoe1@centurytel.net. Here is how the letter began:

"We all know it is an honor and duty to be available for and serve as a juror. Recently, I received your notification to register for jury duty and complete the juror qualification/profile forms, which are enclosed. However, this letter serves to notify you as to my difficulty and or impossibility to serve as an impartial juror in any court in which court proceeding and or legal opinions are conducted/offered/presented by Mr. Mike Sullivan, Mr. Bill Faubion and or Mr. Dan Bigelow.

"While I am willing, able and qualified to serve as a juror on any court, but when any of these men are involved, it is my opinion, no real justice would be served or the justice system will be flawed.

"I am asking Mr. Sullivan to publicly discuss his candidacy for Superior Court Judge District #1 and other issues dealing with the Wahkiakum County Prosecuting Attorney and District Court Judge with me and the voters in an open forum."

Dennis T. Gordon

(Editor's note: Dennis Gordon has announced he is a write-in candidate for superior court judge.)
