Richard Earl Gibbons, age 82, of Vancouver, Washington, passed away on April 23, 2013. He was born on November 27, 1930 in Portland, Oregon.

On March 26, 1957, Richard married his lifetime friend, Billie Jean Rich, who passed on November 27, 2008.

Richard served four years in the Navy. He worked and retired from the mechanic industry. He enjoyed projects with his family, boating, yard work and spending time at the beach and with his dog Holly. He was dedicated to his church, family and friends.

Survivors include two sons, Rick and Butch Gibbons, and two daughters, Debbie Broselle and Diane Dunning, all of Vancouver, his sister Charlotte Hegstead of Longview, WA, 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, his special companion Marlene Wise and his dog Holly.

A memorial service will be held on May 4, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the St. John Lutheran Church of Vancouver.

The family suggests remembrance gifts be sent to Hospice SW. Cascadia Cremation and Burial Service is in charge of arrangements.
