Loop Road Repairs

October 30, 2013

A Catworks company excavator hoists a concrete block that will shore up a sliding slope along Loop Road. Wahkiakum County Public Works Director Pete Ringen said Wednesday that the retaining wall is nearly complete. Catworks proposed an alternate design for the wall, and the project was delayed while that was evaluated and finally accepted at a savings to the county, Ringen said. Next steps are guardrail installation and paving repairs to restore the road to two lanes of travel.
