Art appreciation classes to be held at Tsuga Gallery

Bob Kizziar will teach a series of art appreciation classes for adults in March.

The classes will be held at Tsuga Gallery in Cathlamet from 7-8 p.m. on Tuesdays. The first class will be held March 4. The first four classes will be $20 inclusive. If successful there will be classes to follow. It is suggested that you take the first installment of classes in order to be ready for the second and so on.

The first class will be Art Is and will cover the nature of art awareness, creativity and communication.

The second class will cover visual elements, line, shape, mass, space, time and motion, light, color and texture.

The third class covers principles of design, unity and variety, balance, emphasis and subordination, directional forces, contrast, repetition and rhythm, scale and proportion and design summary.

The fourth class will cover style, cultural style, period style, regional style, group style and personal style.

Preregister at Tsuga Gallery Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Class size is limited to 15 people.
