Annual Columbia River Country Days to benefit Wahkiakum 4-H

Friends of Extension and Wahkiakum 4-H present the seventh annual Columbia River Country Days on October 3 and 4, 2014. Featured this year are events at the Puget Island Farmers Market on Friday beginning at 3 p.m. Activities planned at the Market include a Pie Social to benefit 4-H, live music, vendors, and plenty of fresh local grown produce for participants to purchase. Saturday includes a 4-H Open House at the Wahkiakum Fairgrounds located in Skamokawa from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the Lamplit Dinner in the Grays River Covered Bridge.

Lamplit Dinner Tickets are available at Bank of Pacific branches in Cathlamet and Naselle, and the WSU Wahkiakum County Extension office at 25 River Street in Cathlamet for $35 or $25 for our Grand Americans (those 72 and older) and Veterans. Proceeds from the event benefit the Wahkiakum 4-H program. For further information, call 360-795-3278.
