The Wahkiakum County Eagle - Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891

Dennis Rugg has been named executive director of the American Red Cross Southwest Washington Chapter. He will oversee day-to-day chapter business, volunteer engagement, community partnerships and fundraising in Pacific, Wahkiakum, Cowlitz, Clark, Skamania and Klickitat counties.

As a member of the board of directors for the Southwest Washington Chapter for nine years, Rugg participated in many aspects of the organization’s service delivery including disaster response, volunteer support, sponsor cultivation and donor stewardship.

“I look forward to promoting understanding of and encouraging community participation in the many programs and opportunities that exist with the American Red Cross,” said Dennis. “It is an honor to work for an organization that touches so many lives each and every day.”
