Westend news:

The Free Friday Night Movie this week is rated PG-13 and was released in 2014. Synopsis: During World War II, mathematician Alan Turing tries to crack the enigma code with help from fellow mathematicians.

According to our projectionist, this is a really good movie. Come and check it out and see if you agree. Concessions are also available with popcorn, candy and pop for sale at reasonable prices.

It's that time again blood donors. Another blood drive is scheduled for Monday April 20 at Valley Bible Church, 1-6 p.m. Make an appointment and be entered to win one of two $5 gift certificates from Mochas & More. If you wish to just show up on the day of the blood drive, you can still have a chance to win as two more certificates will be given in a random drawing. This is quite a fellowship gathering and the Red Cross folks get a kick out of the party atmosphere. For more info please call Susan Burkhalter at 465-2264 and start eating your red meat and spinach to get your hematocrit up to snuff prior to coming in and baring your veins.

Do you enjoy Bingo? There will be an evening of Bingo in the Grays River Valley Center at Johnson Park and it is sponsored by the West End Food Pantry. The event will take place on April 25, 6-9 p.m., in the cafeteria. Entry for the event is $1 plus a can of food. There will also be raffles and baked goods for sale throughout the evening. For more information please call Shonda Ware at 465-2722.
