The Wahkiakum County Eagle - Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891

The Wahkiakum Mule Track and Field team traveled to Kalama on Friday to compete against 13 other teams representing 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A and 2B schools in the Kalama Twilight meet.

The boys team did not score any points and did not place, while the girls team took 13th place with seven points.

Cheyenne Barton placed eighth in the 400 meters with a time of 1:07.31. Shelbie Abbot took sixth in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 19.07.

Tarah Wisner tossed the shot put 28-08.50 and placed seventh. Rory Heywood took eighth in the triple jump with a leap of 27-04.50.

The Mules travel to South Bend today (Thursday) for a Pacific League meet.
