What's happening at the Fair?

August 6, 2015

August is here! Hope everyone is getting their entries ready for the fair. When you come to the fair this year there will be several new things done around the grounds and I would like the public to know it was their dollars from fundraisers that the fair does that has paid for them. So I would like to thank everyone who has put their money into the fairgrounds. The fair has been taking on a lot with all the things that have gone on in the last year. To all those people that think the fair is not being self sufficient I would ask you to check out the truth. We have been self sufficient for the three years of my management. I can't vouch for prior to that, but I am the one taking the heat, so please go and check it out. Thank you.

Now to get down to the fair. It will be here before you know it. We have several new vendors this year, along with all your old time favorites. There is an awesome line up of entertainers, so I hope you will take the time to come down and listen or watch what’s going on, on the stage. I still have room for vendors so you still have time to become a vendor, call the office (360)795-3480.

Your Fair Royalty went to the Cowlitz County Fair and saw the Gloriana Concert. Fun was had by all.

Princess Dalaney Cothern will hold a Silent Auction at the fairgrounds on August 8 starting at 1 p.m., so come out and enjoy an afternoon of fun.

If you haven't bought your fair pass or raffle tickets the royalty is selling them. You can also get your fair passes at the Bank of Pacific, Skamokawa Center or the Duck Inn. The fair passes will only be for sale in these business until Monday August 17, after that they will be available at the fair office until Wednesday August 19. Of course you may purchase one at the gate on Thursday for $7.00. So purchase it early and save a buck. Hope to see everyone at the fair.
