Appreciative PTO planning for future

To The Eagle:

The PTO would like to thank all who participated in the "Spring Blossom Bingo" event that was held last Friday. Although there wasn't as big a turnout as we hoped, it was still a lot of fun. I want to personally give a huge "Thank You" to all the representatives from the Wahkiakum Lion's Club for helping and for letting us use most of their equipment. It was much appreciated. Also to the Wahkiakum County Fair for use of some of their equipment. As well, many thanks to our local sponsors such as the Cathlamet Pharmacy for a wonderful Spring Decoration Basket, Cathlamet Market, and the Bank of the Pacific for the wonderful donation of chickens; the Cathlamet Barber Shop, Daisy Chain Floral, Waterway Espresso, Julie's Java and Cathlamet Video Store for your generous donations of gift certificates. And many special thanks to Alyssa Robert for your incredibly cute Jamberry Jar donation, Beverly Ferdina for your beautifully knitted throws and scarves, and to Spa Utopia for your generous donation of lotions. None of this would have been possible without the generous donations from our community and our sponsors.

The PTO can't say thank you enough for everyting that this community helps us with. It's only possible with your help.

I would also like to remind everyone that a special flyer was sent home last week asking if you would be available to help out with either our coming BOGO Scholastic Book Fair being held May 13-20 or the Field Day events on June 13. If you are available to help with either, send that slip back to the school or please call the elementary school office and give Cinnon your name and number; someone will contact you.

Our next PTO meeting is on May 9, 6 p.m., at the elementary school. The PTO is free to become a member. It is a great way to stay connected to coming events and planning of the events as well as a great way to meet and make new friends in the community. We are currently planning for next year's events and fundraising ideas. Come and give us a hand.

Thank you to all who donated their time, gave wonderful donations, and to all those who participated. We hope to do it again next year.

Bobbie Gains

Wendt PTO president
