Delvin Fredrickson

 


Delvin L. Fredrickson, 77 of Grays River, died at his home on June 15, 2016. He was born in Turlock CA on July 20, 1938 to Earl and Lois (Clifton) Fredrickson.

He graduated high school in 1957 and attended college at Delta Valley Community College. He spent two years in the Army. In 1967 he married Trudy Lynch. They lived in Stockton CA and raised their children there, where Del was an inspector for the Public Works Department.

They moved to Grays River in 2000 after Del’s retirement. He enjoyed rural life and was active in the community. He had volunteered at Julia Butler Heritage Site, was on the Wahkiakum County Planning Commission and enjoyed his position as Commissioner with Grays River Habitat Enhancement District.

He was a family man and leaves behind his wife Trudy and seven children, sons Delvin, Donald and Carl Fredrickson and Shane Cruz, and daughters, Danielle Stewart, Deborah Turner and Kendra Villasenor; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren as well as many friends.

No service will be held at Del’s request and donations in his name may be made to Community Home Health and Hospice, P.O. Box 2067, Longview, WA 98632. Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
