To The Eagle:

Americans chose a vulgarian who vowed to cut taxes for the richest, impose trade restrictions that will raise prices, dismantle unions, restrict wage increases, curtail the entry of workers who pick our harvest, deny health insurance to millions, and who reopened the wound of racism and bragged about his sexual exploits.

The Democratic officialdom arrogantly chose Ms. Clinton over Mr. Sanders and recklessly overlooked her serious ethical turbidity. Ms. Clinton will continue to do well for herself.

We shall see how distressed voters who naively believed Mr. Trump’s bombastic rhetoric and ignored his serious shortcomings fare in the next four years.

Now, irrespective of how we voted, we must find solutions that are worthy of a proud, thinking people. There are Americans deserving of help, just as there are leeches who suck the republic’s lifeblood. There are good and bad white-, non-white-, Christian- and non-Christian Americans. To flourish together, we must identify and quarantine corrupt politicians and support those who have helped to make our country great. Let’s get rolling!
