Wahkiakum Mule wrestler Rayanna Carlon, second from left, moves on to the state tournament after finishing second at regionals last weekend. Coach Frankie Mendez said she becomes the first Mule girl wrestler to participate in the state tournament.

Trynity Mendez wrestled hard but fell short of the state tournament, Coach Mendez said. "It's been a great season for both these girls," he said. "I couldn't be more proud of their hard work and dedication to wrestling."
