Local author to speak at Cathlamet Library

 

Cathlamet writer Lilly Robbins Brock, who is dedicated to telling the stories of World War II veterans, will appear at the Cathlamet Public Library on Saturday March 18 at 2 p.m.

She is the author of Wooden Boats & Iron Men: A World War II Sailor's Life Story and His Passion to Help Save One of the Last Surviving PT Boats, a biography of WWII vet Maury Hooper and his efforts to have PT-658 restored.

Coming with her will be a member of Save the PT Boat, Inc., the group that rebuilt and refurbished the WWII Motor Torpedo boat. Brock will also share her observations on the writing process, and information about her next veteran's biography. She has previously authored, Food Gifts Recipes From Nature's Bounty.
