On Thursday October 12, the Warriors football team had an exciting matchup with the Winlock Cardinals. The Cardinals did not have enough players to play 11-man football so the Warriors had to prepare for 8-man football for the first time this season. The Warriors started off strong as they ran back the opening kickoff for a touchdown. A few plays later, the Cardinals tied it up 6-6. The Warriors dominated the rest of the first half with great defense and a strong push on offense and ended the half at 33-12. The second half started good, but the Cardinals had some fight left in them and took over in the fourth quarter. The Warriors dug deep and held their own to fend the Cardinals off and win 40-38 taking third place in their division. The Warriors will host the Onalaska Loggers in a cross over game for the final game of the season Thursday October 19 at 6 p.m.
