Coming Events--Community Center in Cathlamet

November 30, 2017

Greetings from the Community Center! We would like to thank Santa for coming to the Community Center last Saturday evening during the Holiday Lighting Celebration. All the little ones were able to visit with Santa and share their Christmas wish list. If any children were not able to attend, Santa left behind a few goody bags – come in to get yours while supplies last!

Do you need help updating your resume, writing a cover letter or accessing your tablet? Then stop by on Wednesday, December 6 between 10 a.m., and noon for any of your computer needs. Looking for a job or to change your career? WorkSource will also be here at that same time for employment assistance.

This Friday’s movie will be a documentary called “The Unbelievers.” This 2013 film follows Richard Dawkins and Lawrence Krauss as they speak publicly around the globe about the importance of science and reason in the modern world, encouraging others to cast off religious and politically motivated approaches toward what they think to be important current issues. The movie starts at 7:00 p.m., and popcorn is free. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks.

Please come in and see us when you can! We have a new printout of the December calendar with all the events and classes being held here at the Community Center. Need a good book to read by the fire in December? We have a new assortment of free adult and children books to choose from during our ongoing book exchange.
