Mckensi Fluckiger and Charlie Ashe put on the pressure in the Lady Mules' 43-29 win against Adna.

After a tough loss last week to Napavine, the Wahkiakum Mules girls basketball team stepped up to a challenge from Adna on Thursday, and got an easy win in Winlock on Tuesday.

The Lady Mules pulled ahead of Adna early in the game on Thursday, but never enough to be completely comfortable. The Pirates pulled within 10 points more than once, but Wahkiakum held on to win 43-29.

Macie Elliott and Ellie Leitz led the team with 13 points each. Maddy Mace scored 10 points. Paige Mace added five and Charlie Ashe had two.
