Wahkiakum Mule Golf


The Wahkiakum Mules golf team took second in a three team match at Lewis River Golf Course in Woodland last Thursday. District tournaments began this week.

Tyler St. Onge medaled with a score of 42 in Woodland. Bryce Good and Zach Johnston hit 46 apiece on the nine hole course. Victor Hummer scored 56 and Valente Guitron hit a 61. Heidi Bruntmyer scored a 62.

The Kalama team won the day with 189. The Mules were right behind them with a 190. Adna hit a 202.

Bruntmyer traveled to Tumwater Valley Golf Course for the girls’ district tournament on Monday, and according to Assistant Coach Eli McElroy, she shot a 126 on the 18 hole course, missing the cut of 117 to play a second day.

The boys will play in their district tournament next Wednesday and Thursday.
