Commercial forest lands closed because of fire danger

Closures effective Friday, July 27

 


Wahkiakum County commercial timberland owners issued this statement Thursday:

Grays Harbor, Pacific, and Wahkiakum County large private forest lands are closed due to extreme heat

and fire danger.

A collaboration of several private landowners has led to closing the forest to public access. Campbell

Global, Greenwood Resources, Hancock Forest Management and Olympic Resource Management Will

close their lands this week. These closures will begin Friday July 27, 2018. Other landowners may close

or have already closed their lands. The forests are extremely dry. There is no rain in the forecast.

Properties will likely remain closed until significant soaking rain comes to the region. Please contact the
